Peer learning session focuses on risk assessment and supplier engagement

Building Responsibly hosted the second Peer Learning Session of 2022. The session was open to members only and was hosted by Bechtel and Wood PLC.

Bechtel led the group in a conversation about its Risk Assessment tools for Modern Slavery in the Supply Chain.  In developing a Modern Slavery Management Plan for a project, Bechtel walked the group through the Risk Assessment tool developed for the supply chain to help focus attention where the risk is greatest.

Wood PLC then showcased with the group its their new sustainability website and the promotion of Building Responsibly. This included the company’s external training package, designed to give a high-level understanding of human rights and direct its suppliers to BR and the Worker Welfare Principles.

For more information on either of the above, please contact Catherine McKalip-Thompson (Bechtel) and Craig Paterson-Cheyne (Wood PLC).
