Membership to Building Responsibility is open to engineering and construction companies of all sizes and operating in all sectors. We also welcome applications from other organizations interested in working with us to promote the rights and welfare of engineering and construction workers, including clients, industry groups, NGOs and international organizations.

To ensure a variety of perspectives and to leverage a range of expertise, Building Responsibly has introduced tiered membership comprising three categories: Board Members, Associate Members and Supporters.

Board Members

Building Responsibly Board Members are the decision-making participants of our coalition. Our Board Membership is composed of some of the world's biggest engineering and construction companies, representing over 580,000 employees and operating in over 100 countries.

Associate Members

Building Responsibly tiered membership structure includes Associate Members, which are companies from the engineering and construction sector that engage with the group without participating in the direction of the initiative. Associate Members can take part in some activities and tools development of but cannot vote on the coalition’s strategic decisions. Our current Associate Members are:

Supporters

Supporters are companies not operating primarily in the engineering and construction sector as well as organizations that are interested in working closely with Building Responsibly to promote the rights and welfare of engineering and construction workers. Membership is open to business and industry associations as well as to non-business entities such as international organizations, non-profit and other civil society organizations.
